What to Do

Bike the American Discovery Trail. Ride an antique train. Explore Amish country. Feel like a kid again on carnival rides at one of countless festivals.

Cheer as the engines roar or the hooves beat past at the racetrack.

Drive through gently rolling hills past two hundred year old farmhouses and white country churches. Visit inspiring historic sites.

Shop for the perfect gift at one of 900 antique shops.

Canoe rivers that played key roles in our nation's history. Fish on a quiet lake. Learn Native American cultural arts.

Visit art galleries and purchase paintings, jewelry and pottery from local artisans. Learn to dance like the stars in a grand ballroom. Try your luck at a casino.

You can do all this and more in Eastern Indiana!

Where We Are

Eastern Indiana is easily accessible from historic byways, several major interstates, by Amtrak train and three international airports. For hiking and biking enthusiasts, the American Discovery Trail, the only coast to coast non-motorized recreational trail, connects much of our area.

Fort Wayne International Airport is located within our region, and Indianapolis and Dayton International Airports are a short drive away. Waterloo and Connersville are the two Amtrak stations in Eastern Indiana. (If arriving by plane or train, car rental is recommended.)
